rAIson: a story of intelligence

Decision support or the automation of certain decisions is gaining importance with continuous and rapid progress made in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

In a world of growing need for justified decision support and automated decision-making, Professor Antonis KAKAS and Professor Pavlos MORAITIS, have decided to create a new startup company, called Argument Theory, based on their extensive scientific research in the field of computational argumentation.

A mission: to support decision-makers

In today's society, decision-makers in different fields of activity are faced with a multitude of options to consider, a large number of parameters that affect the decision and sometimes, large amounts of data to take into account when taking complex and difficult decisions.

They therefore need either assistance to make the best decisions according to the context or the possibility of delegating certain decisions (typically repetitive ones) to software in order to gain in terms of productivity and the time consumed.

However, for these decision makers to accept decisions made by a AI system, this system needs to be able to explain its decisions and the reasons why one decision is preferred over another, as well as to provide the essential underlying data on which its reasoning was based.

Today, machines can take difficult decisions, justify them and argue about them in a collaborative way.

From Artificial Intelligence
to rAIson

Argument Theory offers the rAIson platform, a SaaS Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform, which is based on computational argumentation, a technology that allows an Artificial Intelligence system to have similar reasoning and behavioral capabilities to those of a human.

The innovative character of the technological solution marketed with the rAIson platform, allows us to offer AI systems capable of taking difficult decisions and through an explanation based dialogue with the user, justify and argue for their decisions in a collaborative and persuasive way.

Machine learning methods integrated within the rAIson platform allows our systems to learn from experience with the user and evolve to more accurately reflect the requirements of the application of the decision-making problem and thus continuously adapt to the problem needs.
